We are hiring a Product Manager to join our client’s growing team. As the leader an Agile Scrum team, the Product Owner serves as a collaborative liaison between the client and the delivery teams and ensures software solutions meet stakeholder requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a product vision and roadmap based on input from stakeholders.
    • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, developers, and test engineers to ensure software is delivered to an acceptable standard, on-time, and within budget
    • Ensure the client’s overall strategic, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals are met for the project
    • Provide clear communication to stakeholders on roadmap progress
    • Serve as functional needs expert for the software product by leveraging previous experience and knowledge of the end-users and the energy industry
    • Groom the backlog, lead sprint stand ups and drive clarity across development team
    • Lead and manage a remote team of developers
    • Provide demos and training to the client
      • Lead the sprint planning process and all relevant ceremonies (backlog grooming, retrospectives, demos, etc.)
      • Assist in software testing on an as needed basis.
        • Manage issues, risks, and schedule across the functional team
        • Develop detailed requirements, work with development team to implement those requirements, and validate that the end product fulfills the vision.
        • Author user stories, acceptance criteria, product, and software requirements documentation.

        • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Similar
        • SAP Certification preferrable.
        • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a proven track record of reliability and maintenance technical excellence.
        • 3+ years experience in a Product Owner role.
        • Experience as a product owner for development teams in an Agile/Scrum framework in the energy industry.
          • Extensive knowledge of SAP PM/MM.
          • Experience of gathering software requirements and prioritization of user stories on large software projects ($1MM+).
          • Strong leadership and project management experience is crucial.
          • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
          • Ability to effectively interface and communicate with both internal teams and external clients.
          • Able to empathise with clients, build relationships and generate new business.

          • Knowledge of and/or experience with:
            • RCM
            • FMECA
            • RBI
            • Maintenance Builds
            • Maintenance Strategies
            • Equipment reliability calculations
            • Asset Integrity Management
            • Portfolio Management
          • Understand relational databases and normalization.
          • Experience with Jira, or other agile management software
